Blue Sky Benefit & Folk Jam – Thank You!

The skies could not have been bluer and the music better at our September 27 fundraiser. Because of your wonderful support, we exceeded our expectations and made close to $1000 for Blue Sky and NEOMHA.

A special thanks to the fine roster of musicians who donated their time on the Open Stage and made our hearts sizzle. Thanks to Highland bagpiper Don Willis  who opened the day with thrilling strains of the Great War Pipes of the North, and Maurea Andies, Joel Specht & the Old Time Enamoured Band Trio, Ron Greznak & the Back Porch Trio, Matt Harmon, Winn Douglas,  Bob Vitantonio, Rebekah Jean, Laurie & Ed Caner, and Rebecca Wohlever.

Thanks to all who participated, and helped, and attended, and jammed, coming together to make folk music come alive in Kirtland, Ohio.

The Blue Sky crowd was greeted on May 17, 2014 by wet, cold weather so we moved everything inside! The halls at East Shore resounded with music. Thanks to Alonzo Loney for 2014's pics!

Mother and child at Blue Sky Folk Festival

One young fellow doesn't look too sure about this Blue Sky Folk Festival thing, but we'll bet he's dancing and smiling in no time!

It takes a dedicated musician to carry one of these beauties around at a folk festival!

Another impromptu musical gathering

Just another jam – this time with guitars, hammered dulcimer, and bass. Mandolin and fiddles will be joining in any time now...
